HRU has teamed up with a a major player in the defense sector and is looking for a Bill of Materials (BOM) Analyst! Defense or Automotive Manufacturing experience preferred along with US Army knowledge and advanced Excel. Position will include some overtime and minimal domestic travel. Scheduled to begin as a 12-month contact with likely extension. Must be a US Citizen. Full benefits available and pay starting at $40/hr.+ depending on experience. 


Description:

Plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates Bill of Material (BOM) efforts in support of multiple, significant developmental and production programs within companies guidelines and U.S. Government specifications; executes assigned programs within cost and schedule constraints. Establishes, maintains, and promotes good customer relationships. Ensures the coordination of work tasks with customer representatives. Ensures customers are informed on status and progress of assigned programs. Contributes to the preparation of project documentation to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews documentation and applies knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on the BOM. Coordinates modification records for BOM management control. Contributes to the development of policies and standards to ensure team optimization. Establishes and maintains configuration baselines.

Skills Required: 

Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP), Oracle, and / or Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) skills required. Includes detail entries supporting Item Masters, Indented structure Bills of Materials, and attribute encoding. • Use of a Product Data Management (PDM) system such as EPDM/Windchill • Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings and Configuration change documentation • General understanding of Engineering / Manufacturing / Operations processes. • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills required. • Ability to participate and contribute to the team. • Excellent computer skills, with a solid understanding of the typical PC applications especially MS Office Applications. Heavy emphasis on Microsoft Excel skills, including comparison functions and data analysis. (Certification in Configuration Management preferred.) 

Experience Required:

More than 5 years Defense or Automotive Manufacturing experience preferred, with focus on Bills of Material management. • Working knowledge in US Army product development, processes and standards pertaining to engineering to ensure accuracy for production readiness. • Understanding of Configuration Management (CM) principles, Bill of Material (BOM) Structuring expertise, and basic engineering background. • Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP), Oracle, and / or Advanced Supply Chain Planning (ASCP) experience required. • Extensive expertise of design engineering, manufacturing, material planning; production planning purchasing principles and discipline of CM including Standards/Specifications. Ability to see the relationships of these functional areas and make decisions based on the business impacts to these areas.  Product Life-Cycle Management (PLM) experience is desirable

Education Required:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required, Associates or higher preferred.
