Be a part of a global consulting, management and engineering services company, that develops and implements innovative solutions to today’s complex technological challenges in the automotive industry.  We are looking for experienced, self-motivated sales/business development professionals to represent our suite of services across automotive engineering, technology and automotive integration as well as manufacturing and production. 

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and closing new business and fostering strong relationships with both new and existing clients. The Business Development Manager will work directly with the Partner’s and Business Unit Leads and will be supported by a team of subject matter experts across several competencies’ toward building upon the future success and growth of the company.

Westcoast: Technology and Automotive integration

A Day in the Life:

  • Proactively secure new business, projects and accounts while also maintaining and expanding our existing client portfolio within the automotive industry
  • Generate and contribute to the overall gross sales and revenue of multiple programs/projects across multiple Business Units
  • Develop and implement both short and long term sales plans, budgets and market trends
  • Drive an increase in margins through a consultative selling approach with a coordinated sales strategy
  • Manage strategic relationships, cultivate new alliances and monitor competitive activity
  • Identify and engage with key client decision makers to expand our portfolio
  • Execute a deliberate outreach and sales strategy based on disciplined prospecting, networking and information gathering
  • Uncover growth opportunities by canvassing prospective customers within assigned region

What You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration related fields of study
  • 5+ years of experience in Automotive Business Sales
  • 2+ years of working in a project based environment
  • A hunter mentality with a strong track record of consistently closing the sale
  • Large industry network including OEM, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, etc. at a C-level and/or Director, Sr. Manager level
  • Strong performance in strategic account plan development, optimizing the sales funnel, articulating value propositions and creating metrics to demonstrate the value
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to create effective presentations
  • Ability and willingness to travel within assigned region 50%-75% of the time

What You Might Also Have:

  • Knowledge of complex system solutions, preferably in vehicle electronics, wireless technology and digitalization as well as parts, components and processes within the automotive industry
  • Exposure to a production environment and understanding of how supply chain and upstream part delivery play a role in delivering a final product
