Negotiable (depending on experience). Generally will be $40/hr to $45/hr. Overtime paid over 40 hours, off shift premiums paid if working off shift)


Job Description:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major automotive manufacturer to place a Facility Maintenance Engineer (Electrical). This position will help with Maintenance contract management and supervise the site electrical engineers (possibly some and mechanical engineering supervision as well). This position is not an entry level position. Candidates shall possess years of experience and strong knowledge in electrical systems in industrial settings. You must be familiar with the design and operation of power distribution systems of large manufacturing plants. You will lead a small committee consisting of Plant Safety personnel, UAW electrical trainers, and various Engineers. In this role you will be considered the plant’s Subject Matter Expert of electrical safety.

Qualified Candidates:
•    Completed Training and Be familiar with Electrical Safety Work Practices (NFPA 70E) & National Electrical Code (NEC).
•    Familiar with Power Distribution Systems and Substations of manufacturing/ industrial environments.
•    Able to perform Arc Flash Calculation Using IEEE 1584 calculator.
•    Working knowledge in Short Circuit Analysis Tools such as SKM & E-Tap is a Plus
•    Strong Working Knowledge (min 5 years working experience) in Substation and Power Distribution Systems; Design/Operations/Maintenance (up to 15KV); and sub-systems such as breaker; switches; cable & relay.
•    Documentation and Organization – Maintain Database and Repair/Maintenance Records.
•    Strong Communication Skills both Verbal and Written
•    Capable to develop quality written safe work instructions and work Procedures.
•    Strong leadership to provide guidance and implement corporate policy
•    Strong skills in organizing, planning and executing substation maintenance per company and/or manufacturer’s requirements.
•    Quick response to emergency power outages.
•    Able to quickly coordinate resources for power restoration.

Education / Certifications:
•    Bachelor's degree preferred (but relevant experience will also be considered)

Work Environment:
•    1st (day) shift. Generally, will be 6:30am to 3:30pm but will have overtime beyond these hours.
•    Regular overtime (generally 10-15 hours per week)
•    Fit for work physical will be required
