Job Description:

HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a global marketer of branded footwear, apparel, and accessories to place a Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis.  This role will be a key member of the FP&A team with responsibility for reporting and analyzing financial plans and forecasts, including corporate departments, cash flow projections, and creation of presentation materials for Board of Directors and executive management.



  • Manage and consolidate complex financials, maintaining flexibility in a fast-pasted environment, that support a successful annual planning process by continuously evolving the process to meet changing business needs
  • Support the annual plan, quarterly forecast, and long range financial plan processes
  • Provide support to VP of Financial Planning & Analysis and CFO via summary schedules and ad hoc analyses
  • Prepare quarterly cash flow forecasts, increasing the transparency, efficiency and accuracy, including improving reporting for the various inputs (working capital, capex, etc.)
  • Review supporting analysis and reporting that will improve management’s ability to evaluate key assumptions, trends and changes
  • Analysis of performance metrics and cost/benefit analysis related to working capital management and ensure continuous progress towards profitability metrics
  • Establish key partnerships with Corporate Accounting and Reporting, Divisional Finance and IT teams
  • Engage in regular dialogue with divisional counterparts to gain an understanding of issues/priorities and increase Corporate visibility to performance
  • Manage and enhance financial analysis, reporting and consolidation to minimize production time and maximize value to users
  • Develop clear and concise presentations and supporting materials for CFO presentations (Board of Directors meetings, Presidents’ Council, Operating Board, etc.)
  • Analyze and validate weekly orders, shipments, and backlog reporting
  • Review, monitor and report on the corporate cost center budgets and corporate results
  • Prepare and assess the brand portfolio and profitability analyses
  • Liaise with Corporate finance to establish and enhance CapEx reporting
  • Work to improve global usage of Hyperion by enhancing models and input forms for efficiency, identifying key drivers and educating users
  • Performs duties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by manager.



  • Five years of relevant work experience
  • Finance MBA or CPA preferred
  • Systems experience (SAP, Hyperion, PowerPoint, Excel) preferred, ability to quickly master systems, analytical tools and data management
  • Knowledge of accounting, business strategy, markets and risks
  • Versatile and professional communication skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to produce analysis that’s easily consumable by senior executives
  • Focuses on cause-and-effect relationships between observable factors
  • Proposes and communicates clear action steps
  • Ability to meet deadlines, take initiative, and influence others


Work Environment:

  • 1st (day) shift position
  • Normal office environment
  • Little if any travel expected
