PROGRAM MANAGER

SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Program Manager will oversee the manufacturing initiative with the responsibility of managing scope, cost, quality, timing, human resources, and procurement. Reporting to the General Manager, the Manufacturing Program Manager will manage a cross functional team to meet all required objectives and will manage the customer/dealer relationship from plan, source, make, deliver products to the customer’s specification, acting as the primary contact, coordinator and facilitator for customers. The Manufacturing Program Manager will own and enable the communication and coordinate tasks between the customer/dealer and the functions within the company to meet contract’s deliverables, provide services, and keep the relationship positive and on track.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary client contact during all phases of the contract from order receipt to delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with and delivery of all contractual commitments.
  • Maintain critical path timeline and manage cross functionally to achieve it.
  • Deliver regular project status reports to the customer, dealer, and internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate with internal and external groups, vendors and customer, as required.
  • Ability to identify root cause of a problem, develop corrective action that leads to resolution.
  • Manages the product team to meet timing, cost, manufacturing, quality and cost targets.
  • Scope Management - Manage the scope meetings with the customer and product team to ensure all scope changes are captured in the documents.
  • Timing Management - Ability to create work breakdown structure (WBS) with customer and interim milestones/deliverables used as the foundation.
  • Gate timing developed from timeline that meets customer requirements.
  • Customer Satisfaction -Understand customer’s organization and procedures in detail.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering.

Minimum of 4 years Program Management and Contract Administration experience with demonstrated leadership skills required.

 

Proven ability to:

  • Plan and handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lead cross functionally with no direct reports.
  • Achieve results while working within budget constraints.
  • Execute day-to-day operations while maintaining the ability to think strategically.
  • Take the initiative to independently research issues/problems and offer alternative solutions.
  • Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.

  • Leadership attributes and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer support.
  • Preferred PMP Preferred.
  • Management Experience 3 - 5 Years.


Contract: 6 months plus extension/direct hire

Location: Charlotte, MI
