Candidate will support the design, integration, and testing of laser warning receiver onto GDLS platforms.
Candidate must be able to review CAD models and drawings for accuracy and issues
Candidate will develop, track, and manage the Design Verification PLan and Report (DVP&R) documentation for the engineering design and requirements verification process.
Candidate will author sections within the Subsystem Design Document (SSDD) describing the the design implementation details satisfying the system specification requirements
Candidate will develop and execute verification test plans for compliance checkout against the system specification.
Candidate will support the DFMEA process for identifying and mitigating program/product risks.
Must have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of applicable experience following graduation.
Candidate must work well independently, exhibit professional work habits, and have good communications skills (both written and oral).
Candidate shall work well with others while creating a work environment that is conducive to teamwork.
Candidate shall be required to interface with a variety of engineering groups and personnel to coordinate design, integration and test activities across the organization.
Have the ability to climb on/off, work in and work around military vehicles is required.
Ability to travel to test sites in support of overseeing and supporting checkout and verification testing.
Ability to obtain a security clearance is required.
Knowledge and understanding of laser systems, the laser energy phenomenon, and laser energy detection and sensor alignment procedures are much desired.
Proficient in working with and reviewing Pro-E/Creo CAD models.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint), Teamcenter/VisMockup/Creo, and DOORS.
