Position Summary

This position will be responsible for the creation, development and production of a variety of packaging materials, in mediums such as cardboard, plastic, glass and other materials. They will be responsible for ensuring that the packaging process is efficient, developing processes to prevent waste and inefficiencies in the production process, working closely with production and marketing teams to ensure product is packed and maintained to the highest standards. They will design, develop and maintain multiple packaging processes, as well as ensure that the company is complying will all related industry standards, while meeting a variety of design standard and guidelines, and provide support on multi-department projects.

 

Examples of Operations Analyst Job Tasks:

    • Create, develop and improve new and existing packaging materials and processes
    • Review packaging methods and activities to determine optimal packaging design and boxing of product
    • Develop packaging materials with a focus on material breathability to ensure optimal product standards
    • Work closely with marking and production to develop packaging, strategies and other related projects
    • Create systems and assist in developing plan production to ensure all products meet quality standards
    • Develop production standards and design
    • Execute packaging validation, including protocol writing, execution, validation, transportation simulation, distribution scenarios, sterilization validation strategies for new products and supporting manufacturing changes
    • Assist as technical expert in the resolution of problem investigations concerning packaging components
    • Facilitate transitional activities on packaging materials to reduce overall costs and increase output
    • Recommend, develop and implement manufacturing related cost saving initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, packaging preferred
    • 5 years’ experience in industrial, manufacturing, food production and/or related packaging fields
    • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
    • Experience in the application of statistical techniques, such as process control, design of experiments and problem solving techniques is required
    • Experience with deign, review, execution and approval of installation, operation and process qualification protocols and reports
    • Experience working in an FDA/GMP regulated industry is preferred
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and related Office products
