HRU Technical Resources has teamed up with a contract manufacturing company and is looking for a Brake Press Operator **M-TH 2nd shift!** This position is a DIRECT HIRE role with immediate benefits and a monthly bonus available after first month! Pay starts at $15/hr.+ (based on experience and education) and offers off-shift premium pay.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Operates CNC turret press with precision and speed to achieve first quality parts on the first pass. Must be capable of setting up and adjusting the machine for all types of turret jobs to be performed. Candidate must also be able to follow and understand the procedure to down load or edit the CNC programs.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 3 or more years metal fabrication experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional technical or vocation training a plus. Prefer a candidate with 1 year CNC punch press experience. Additional training in CAD/CAM programming a plus. Must be capable of working with resource planning systems (bar coding) for proper recording of operations, time and labor. Must be a team player continually demonstrating desired standardization, synchronization and disciplines required in cutting team.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, work rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to properly complete travelers for all jobs performed. Ability to communicate effectively with fellow team members.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Must be capable of reading micrometers, calipers and tape measure. Ability to work with G-Code Programs a plus. Must have completed basic math and sheet metal math classes.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Good problem-solving skills required. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid Michigan Driver's License to be licensed as a qualified lift truck driver.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member frequently exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud requiring hearing protection to be worn at all times. Safety glasses must also be worn at all times by team members.
