HRU is working with an Automotive company who are searching to add multiple Production Supervisors to their group.  These roles will be working in a fast paced, manufacturing environment and is great for someone who is searching for a new challenge! 

 

Key Job Responsibilities

Fill any staffing gaps (ex: someone calls in sick) 

Managing any quality issues 

Managing discipline issues 

Troubleshooting any issues that arise while on shift to ensure their lines are running properly 

Managing paperwork

Full direction and development of effective teams and management of work flow 

Responsible for the effective use of personnel, material and equipment

Meets production cost schedule and maintains quality requirements 

Complies with the terms of local and national labor agreements 

Promotes the development and maintenance of productive union relationships 

Maintains corporate and unit management control systems 

TYPICAL DAY: 

Ensuring their area and area is up and running efficiently/effectively 

Supervise a team of 20 direct reports 

Day to day responsibilities depends on what’s happening in the facility 

MUST HAVE: 

Candidates must be able to multi-task 

Have an awareness of their role and the ability to know when to call the right people (ex: mechanic, quality supervisor, etc.) 

People skills, candidate must be comfortable and able addressing performance issues 

Familiarity with Union workers is preferred 

Technical backgrounds are preferred 

Organizational skills. Will be balancing a lot of different responsibilities and tasks 

Shift Flexibility. It is still being determined which shifts candidates would be working on so they need to be shift flexible and have the ability to work any shift. 

 

EDUCATION: 

Associate Degree (preferred) with 0 years of experience is applicable

Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) with 0 years of experience is applicable 

High School Diploma with a Military background or high level of experience is applicable 

 

Core Hours: 

1st: 6:48 AM – 3:18 PM 

2nd: 2:48 PM – 11:48 PM 

3rd: 10:18 – 7:18am

 

Pay Rate: $22-26/hr.

Contract: 12 months + Extension/Direct hire
