At a high level, need someone to manage people (matrix environment)/tasks to continue moving tasks forward with little to no oversight, allowing manager to focus on the engineering details of specific issues such as details within contract deliverables, resolving issue between customer/company, coordinating model std. reviews, etc.

 

  • Strong mechanical aptitude is beneficial as the tasks do relate to delivery of trucks and a TDP.
  • The ideal person seldom needs to participate directly in the detailed solution that produce the end results (the final TDP or truck build), yet strive to maintain progress, mutual interaction and tasks of various parties in such a way that reduces the risk of overall failure of delivery or customer satisfaction.
  • Need a project manager who will be responsible for the planning and execution of the project and its contained tasks.
  • To be the first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies arising between our A2 Configuration Management team and the Core Teams.
  • Push to ensure that our team is getting the necessary deliveries and feedback from the core teams to meet the end goal of on time TDP delivery.
  • When/If issues in communication or schedule arise between the two larger teams, be able to accurately communicate the issues, find potential solutions, develop the schedule to resolve and have the confidence to convince others of the suggest path forward.
  • Coordinate and track schedule for TDP delivery.
  • Identify and communicate constraints in the schedule

Examples of tasks:

  • Requirements management.
  • Define list of ALL “installations” in A1 TDP.
  • Develop plan to get all “installations” complete including amount of resources and timing.
  • Gather group of resources to complete installations and handle all issues in relation to completing ALL.
  • Identify process workflows for several existing internal processes so we can use to create a more efficient process (CN, ERR, ECP, etc.).
  • Investigate requirements in the language of the contract and standards to identify issues and the solution

Tasks planned yet not started:

  • Create a more efficient OSK to Govt IPR delivery process.
  • Track updates to Model Std. to make sure all of design teams knows at a high level what changed and why.
  • Manage the progress of all internal A2 CN’s to make sure they are moving forward, and identifying the roadblocks and solutions.
  • Track and manage the delivery of the TDP to the Government.
  • Support the preparation for contract deliverables, sit it on meetings, take notes/minutes, and be able to communicate the plans back to the team.
  • Be the point person on the team that knows who the “experts” are so you can direct people to the best answer.
  • Aid in developing BOMs for Contract deliverables.
  • Aid in identify order of items to submit to Government.

The ideal person must:

  • Have Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Be a self-starter
  • Be highly motivated
  • Have strong verbal and non-verbal communications skills
  • Be process oriented and able to create new or more efficient processes
  • Be able to work in a team environment, yet not be afraid to deliver the bad news
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks and track his/her own progress
  • Have the ability to think out of the box for solutions
  • Have the ability to be given a task and find the solution with minimal hand holding
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Project, PPT, Word, Excel 

The ideal person should:

  • Have experience in creating BOE’s, identify scope of work, setting meetings and documenting minutes and follow on tasks.
  • Have knowledge of Windchill, CREO, & JDE.
  • Have a High Mechanical Aptitude

Contract through 6/2020 plus possible direct hire
