Seeking Project Manager with a high level of initiative to market and manage project operations, ensure schedules are met and coordinate the resolution of project-related issues. Will ensure proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of contracted services. Responsible for the effective management of project funds and personnel, and is accountable for the quality and timely delivery of all contractual items. Duties may include tasks that are business and finance in nature, including but not limited to project control, project planning and scheduling, and cost estimating. Duties may also include, but are not limited to, preparing work breakdown structures, charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems. Serves as a primary point of contact with the client regarding day to day program activities. Provides technical advice to direct reports and task leads and assists with problem resolution. Experienced with increasing responsibilities in both managerial and technical responsibilities. Duties include development of qualifications packages, negotiating fixed-price task orders, and providing technical input in response to Requests for Proposals (RFP’s), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other Data Calls. The successful candidate will provide business development and marketing support. This individual will serve as a primary point of contact for coordination with government and commercial customers. The Project Manager will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the successful technical and administrative execution of assigned programs and projects to meet established performance requirements.

• Understanding and articulating project risks and developing and executing risk mitigation strategies.

• Planning, coordinating, communicating and facilitating activities of multiple disciplines on projects of all sizes throughout the DoD Acquisition Life Cycle.

• Making critical decisions and recommendations that have an important effect on company projects and programs.

• Growing relationships and market share and developing new market areas.

Required Skills:

BA/BS + minimum 3 years of Project Management Experience; MA/MS + 1 year of Project Management experience. An established network of contacts and demonstrated business development capabilities is preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to make informative and persuasive presentations to clients and business partners and possess excellent written & verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to obtain/maintain a US Security Clearance. Able and willing to travel when necessary.

Required Experience:

High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently or under only general direction. Must be able to take direction and work as a member of a team. Must have experience in DoD programs and federal contracts. High level of people skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate people. Ability to manage project tasks within scope, schedule and budget. Knowledge of budget planning, management, reporting and control. Organizational management skills as well as the ability to perform detailed-oriented work. Must conduct professional interaction with outside agencies, organizations and associations. May be responsible for individual projects/programs under the supervision of a Program Manager. PMP Certification desired. Engineering or Technical Degree desired.
