HRU Technical Resources has partnered with our client who is currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Manager to support Architectural, Civil/Structural Engineering, Seismic Engineering, and Field Engineering projects in Alabama and Tennessee, primarily West Tennessee and Chattanooga, Tennessee. The candidate for this position will have an opportunity to lead and work as part of a team of program/project managers, engineers, architects and other technical and administrative personnel. Given the nature of the work, the candidate will travel on assignment to perform fieldwork in the geographic area that includes the states of Alabama and Tennessee; travel to other geographic areas may be required.
•Provide quality assurance/quality control in the preparation of all reports, calculations, designs, and drawings in cooperation with technical experts •Establish objectives and initiatives for quality assurance and provide oversight of corporate QC/QA program •Develop QA/QC surveillance plans •Prepare the quality inspection schedule •Review inspection results with the Project Manager and designated officials •Ensure all contractor-performed activities are completed in conformance with terms and conditions of the contract •Monitor project progress/deadlines/meetings •Report all quality issues or concerns not resolved at the site level to the designated senior official •Train Project Managers and Team Leads on the QAP methodologies. •Develop a comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of the contract documents (Drawings, Specs, Quality, etc.) •Implement procedures, SOP’s & document control •Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements •Establish and maintain working relationships with customers, engineers, architects, consultants, subcontractors and vendors to ensure that the project-specific QA/QC Plan delivers a fully compliant project •Understand the project execution plans and coordinate Quality Control procedures at appropriate stages of the work and in line with the project schedule •Hold all responsible parties accountable for outstanding items •Make sure that all closeout document requirements are procured and organized per specifications

•Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field, Civil Engineering desired •Minimum of 5 years of related experience in projects related to architectural, civil/structural, seismic engineering and/or field engineering.
