Quality Engineer(Automotive Components):

We here at HRU Technical Resources have partnered with an industry leading client looking for a Quality Engineer to support an automotive component manufacturing facility thought the oversight of daily quality control activities.

Our client is an established industry leader in the automotive industry. Your projects will focus on meeting the company’s objectives of cost reduction and quality improvement. You will need to be a self-driver motivated individual to lead the implementation of improvement projects across the manufacturing plant.


Leading and implementing Continuous Improvement projects

Developing and implementing computer solutions

Use strong data analysis techniques to assist in problem solving

Assist in effective root cause analysis and resolution of systemic weaknesses

Monitor and maintain compliance to local and corporate processes and procedures for automotive manufacturing facility

Effectively interface with cross functional groups and teams to advance manufacturing objectives

Perform a central role supporting multiple product lines and functions to achieve compliance to written instructions, procedures, change management, production part approval process, and external audits.

About you:

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Ability to interpret procedures and quality systems

Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts

Knowledge of basic math and statistics

Oral and written communication skills

Analytical ability where problems are somewhat complex

Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area

Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business    partners to meet mutual goals required

General knowledge of quality control standards and procedures

Ability to work off shift hours and overtime

Ability to travel to supplier &/or customer location on a limited basis (<10%)

Knowledge of common problem-solving methodologies, Six Sigma, Red X, or Shainin


Microsoft Power BI

Familiarity with basic manufacturing processes

TS16949 / ISO 9001

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering - ME/EE, in Math/Statistics or equivalent experience

Position Type:  Contract

Job Location:  Rochester, NY

Hours:  40 hours a week. 1st shift


Benefits and Salary:

Pay rate: $31-$32.50/hr
