Job Description

The Campus Receptionist reports directly to the Manager, Engineering and Facility Services at Test Center California. The primary responsibilities will be receptionist duties. Additionally, the receptionist will maintain office security by following proper visitor check in policy guidelines. The role will also support basic administrative tasks. The receptionist also actively promotes the company’s vision of integrity by displaying a positive attitude and behavior within the working environment.

Role Responsibilities:

·         Reception

o   Greets and checks-in pre-approved visitors.

o   Screens unauthorized people from entering the campus.

o   Completes appropriate security forms relevant to visitors.

o   Informs departments of expected visitor arrivals.

o   Maintains visitor logs.

o   Receives and sorts mail.

o   Contacts personnel to inform them of delivery/pick-ups.

o   Interacts with shipping company personnel and coordinates shipping with appropriate personnel.

o   Maintains confidentiality when directing guests, phone calls, and mail to campus employees.

o   Maintains a safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

o   Maintains supplies relevant to the reception area.

·         Administrative

o   Provides support to teams with minor administrative tasks.

o   Orders office supplies and employee refreshments in employee breakroom areas.

o   Actively promotes awareness of company’s integrity and compliance efforts.

o   Other clerical duties as assigned.

Required:

·         1-3 years of administrative experience

·         High School Diploma

·         Communication skills – interpersonal and written

·         Organized and dependable

·         Teamwork and strong interpersonal skills

·         Ability to work well independently and with minimal supervision

·         Fluent in English

·         Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)

Desired:

·         Formal customer service training

·         Shows initiative and is pro-active

Work Flexibility:

·         Work schedule based on business requirements (minimum 40 hours/ week) including occasional overtime. Core work hours are 7AM – 4PM.

·         Commonly sit at a desk or table.

·         Occasionally walk, stand, or stoop.

·         Occasionally lift, carry, push or pull up to 25 lbs.
