Job Title:
Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineer

Type of Position:
4-month contract position initially (very likely to be extended at the end of the year, possible to go direct hire)

Candidate Requirements:
This position is ONLY open to candidates who are US Citizens and Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders). Candidates on CPT, OPT, H1B, and TN visas are NOT permitted. This position is NOT open to corp2corp, corp2hire, or w2 referral.

Compensation:
Negotiable (depending on experience) (generally $40/hr to $45/hr)

Job Description:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major defense and vehicle manufacturer to place a Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for interpretation, planning, and execution of R&M requirements on various government contracts. You will provide statistical analysis and data reduction into presentations for senior management. You will also determine failure trends, failure analysis, prognostic and diagnostic implications of designs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Supervise other R&M Engineers
•    Coordinate with other department managers and chief engineers regarding the R&M interface.
•    Perform R&M analysis of engineering design and hardware
•    Supervise the closed loop Failure Analysis/Corrective Action (FA/CA) process in response to Test Incident Report (TIRs). Analyze test data for failure trends
•    Represent the company at RAM Scoring Conferences and Corrective Action Review Team (CART) meetings. Assist engineering in Assessment Conference preparation.
•    Interpret military program R&M requirements and develop necessary plans to meet R&M contract requirements
•    Perform RAM-D analysis of engineering designs and hardware
•    Evaluate mission mode profiles as defined by contract and customer orders
•    Develop and exercise reliability mathematical models
•    Analyze test data for failure trends

Minimum Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
•    3-plus years reliability & maintainability or finite element analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications:
•    STRONG mathematical background

Work Environment:
•    1st / day shift
