Physical ability to perform repetitive strenuous tasks with heavy materials using industrial tire handling equipment.
Repairing of Heavy Wheel and Tire Assemblies up to 150 per week for the Stryker Family of Vehicles
Washing of Stryker Power Packs and other various components in preparation for repair
Basic mechanic skills sufficient to be trained and perform preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on Wheel & Tire handling equipment.
Complete maintenance and administrative forms and other paperwork related to performance of duties
Maintain safe working practice with compliance of all company, state and federal regulations
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. It's preferred that candidates have diesel mechanic experience and be able to troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, electrical systems; perform engine and tire shop services and operate a forklift. In addition, candidates should have excellent communication skills along with professional demeanor that extends to all levels of the organization; proven problem-solving skills; the ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks, and strong strategic thinking, organizational, and judgment skills. Also desired are the ability to be a self-starter and capable of working independently, articulate directions, promote and maintain a collaborative work style, and fostering cooperation and teamwork in achieving business objectives.
Candidates with experience and/or ability to interact with multiple departmental technologies (i.e., engineering, business, technology, etc.), and knowledge of products, processes, and military terminology, and documented trade school, certified technical training or commercial training are preferred.
- Work in maintenance facilities.
- Potential for exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties.
- Dexterity in fingers of both hands, pickup and carry up to 70 lbs. for distance of fifty (50) feet.
Deployment requirements (if needed):
- Ability to pass and maintain physical deployment requirements.
- Ability to pass government/military SRP requirements for deployment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain successful CAC (Common Access Card).
- Ability to acquire and maintain a United States passport.
