Type of Position:
6-month contract position (possible for extension / going direct)

This position is ONLY open to candidates who are US Citizens due to government regulations.  Candidates need to be able to obtain secret security clearance.  Client will NOT accept candidates who are Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders), CPT, OPT, H1B, and TN visas.  This position is NOT open to corp2corp, corp2hire, or w2 referral.

Job Description:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major defense contractor and engineering company to place a Vehicle Cybersecurity Engineer (Defense / Military)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1.    Conduct the implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) in accordance with DoD and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines.
2.    Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and STIG checklists.
3.    Perform Vulnerability Analysis using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
4.    Perform, or review, technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established IA standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies.
5.    Perform system installation, configuration maintenance, account maintenance, signature maintenance, patch management, and troubleshooting of enclave systems.
6.    Interact with cross-functional team to provide system specific artifacts and security solutions.
7.    Review authorization and accreditation documentation
8.    Assist Information System Security Officer (ISSO) as needed in administration, auditing, and configuration of classified computing environment

Basic Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or similar degree.  Experience WILL be considered in lieu of degree.
•    Two (2) or more years of Information Security experience.
•    Experience with Network protocols (TCP/IP), network apps and services, sniffers, DLP, and understanding network security issues.
•    Experience with Host/System security issues including identifying, analyzing and mitigating security vulnerabilities and weaknesses (malicious code, implementation flaws, hardening, etc.).
•    Familiarity with identifying intruder techniques (new vulnerability, attack vectors, exploits, etc.).
•    Familiarity with Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, SIEM, and other InfoSec systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Relevant industry recognized certifications (CISSP, CEH, GIAC, Security+, etc.).
•    Active SECRET security clearance
•    Previous experience working with In-Vehicle Cyber Security
